Officer of the court

An individual who has a duty to the court and is responsible for upholding the integrity of the judicial system. Attorneys are considered officers of the court, obligated to act ethically, truthfully, and with candor towards the tribunal. Other individuals, such as bailiffs, clerks, and judges themselves, also fall under this designation due to their roles in the administration of justice.
