Securities Dispute Resolution: Discovery

The process in securities arbitration for exchanging information and documents relevant to the dispute between parties. Governed by the rules of the arbitral forum, such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), it is more limited than discovery in court litigation. FINRA's Discovery Guide contains lists of documents that are presumptively discoverable in specific types of cases, such as churning or unsuitability claims.
