Cow storm

A localized, short-duration thunderstorm that develops rapidly and produces heavy rain, lightning, and sometimes hail. These storms are characterized by their isolated nature and quick formation, often occurring during warm, humid afternoons. They are named for their tendency to appear suddenly and dissipate, similar to a cow grazing in a field.
