Fix

A precisely determined position of an aircraft, ship, or other moving object at a particular moment in time. This position is typically established using navigational aids, such as radio beacons, satellite signals, or visual landmarks. In meteorology, a fix can also refer to the location of a weather phenomenon determined by multiple observations.
