Visual range

The maximum distance at which a specific object or light can be seen and identified against the background, determined by atmospheric transparency. It is a subjective measure influenced by the observer's visual acuity and the characteristics of the object. Meteorological Optical Range (MOR) is a more objective measure of atmospheric transparency.
