Flashy stream

A stream or river characterized by rapid and dramatic changes in its discharge or water level in response to precipitation events. These streams typically have small, steep watersheds with impervious surfaces or limited vegetation, leading to quick runoff. They are prone to flash floods and exhibit highly variable flow regimes.
