Hibernal

Relating to or characteristic of winter. The term is used in meteorology and climatology to describe phenomena, seasons, or periods associated with the coldest time of the year. For instance, the hibernal solstice marks the beginning of astronomical winter in a hemisphere, and hibernal precipitation patterns describe the typical forms and amounts of rain and snow during that season.
