NEBUL code

A numerical code used in historical synoptic weather observations to report the evolution of the state of the sky. This code indicated whether the overall cloud cover had increased, decreased, or remained unchanged during a specified period preceding the observation. The NEBUL code provided a concise way to transmit information about cloud development trends to forecasters.
