Saddle-back
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008630
A type of pressure pattern characterized by two high-pressure centers and two low-pressure centers arranged in an alternating fashion. This configuration creates a saddle-shaped isobaric pattern, where the pressure gradient is weak in the central region. It often leads to light and variable winds, making weather forecasting challenging in the affected area.
