Supertyphoon

A tropical cyclone in the Western Pacific Ocean that reaches sustained wind speeds of at least 130 knots (150 mph or 241 km/h), equivalent to a Category 4 or 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. This classification is used by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center. Supertyphoons are among the most powerful and destructive weather systems on Earth.
