Hypopharyngeal glands

Hypopharyngeal glands are present in Hymenoptera and consists of paired long glands in the sides of the head with ducts opening at the base of hypopharynx. Hypopharyngeal glands of honey bee workers secretes royal jelly that is fed to the larvae.
