Toll-like receptors

Term · Agriculture and food · MLC-T-AGR-006401

A family of pattern recognition receptors characterized by an extracellular leucine-rich domain and a cytoplasmic domain that share homology with the interleukin 1 receptor and the Drosophila toll protein. Following pathogen recognition, toll-like receptors recruit and activate a variety of signal transducing adaptor proteins.
