Ring test

An interlaboratory study in which several laboratories analyze identical samples to assess the performance of an analytical method or the proficiency of the participating laboratories. The results are compared to a reference value or to each other to determine accuracy and precision. This type of test is often used for method validation or laboratory accreditation.
