Artifact

A byproduct of the software development process, such as a compiled executable, a library, a data model, or a requirements document. These items are produced, stored, and managed in a repository for use in later stages of the development lifecycle or for deployment. In a build process, artifacts are the tangible outputs, like a JAR file in Java development or a container image.
