A multimedia software platform, originally developed by Macromedia and later acquired by Adobe, used for creating animations, interactive content, and rich internet applications. It allowed for vector graphics, raster graphics, and scripting to be integrated into web pages. Adobe officially ended support for Flash Player on December 31, 2020.
