Partition

A logical division of a physical storage device, such as a hard disk drive, into independent sections. Each section functions as a separate storage unit, capable of hosting its own file system and operating system. Operating systems like Windows and Linux use partition tables, such as the Master Boot Record (MBR) or GUID Partition Table (GPT), to manage these divisions.
