Passphrase
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000885
A sequence of words or other characters used for authenticating a user to a system, similar to a password but longer. It is designed to be more secure and memorable than a traditional password by using multiple words, sometimes forming a complete sentence. This increased length makes it significantly more resistant to brute-force attacks, with some systems requiring passphrases of 20 characters or more.
