Passthrough

A mechanism that allows a device or system to directly access hardware resources that are normally managed by a host operating system or hypervisor. This provides near-native performance for the guest system by bypassing virtualization layers. It is used in virtualization environments to give virtual machines direct control over devices like graphics cards or network adapters.
