DAS

A type of computer storage that is attached directly to a single computer and not accessible through a network. This Direct-Attached Storage (DAS) can be an internal hard drive or an external device connected via an interface like USB, SATA, or SAS. Unlike network-attached storage (NAS) or a storage area network (SAN), DAS is managed by the host computer's operating system and its resources are not shared with other servers.
