An acronym for Decay-Associated Spectra, representing the amplitude spectra corresponding to the pre-exponential factors in a multi-exponential fit of time-resolved spectroscopic data. Each spectrum is associated with a specific decay lifetime component resolved from the kinetic analysis of a photochemical or photophysical process. These spectra are mathematical constructs and do not necessarily represent the true spectra of individual chemical species, especially if intermediates are involved in the decay sequence.
