Time-resolved spectroscopy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012073

A spectroscopic technique that measures the absorption or emission of light as a function of time after excitation by a short pulse of light. This method allows for the study of transient species and ultrafast chemical reactions. Time-resolved spectroscopy can probe events occurring on picosecond to femtosecond timescales.
