Transient spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012227
A collection of spectroscopic techniques used to study the properties and kinetics of short-lived chemical species or excited states. It involves perturbing a sample, typically with a short pulse of light, and then monitoring the subsequent changes in its absorption or emission spectrum over time. Flash photolysis is a common method employed in transient spectroscopy.
