Transiently transfected cells
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012228
Cells that have temporarily incorporated foreign genetic material, such as DNA or RNA, into their cytoplasm or nucleus without stable integration into the host genome. This genetic material is expressed for a limited period, typically a few days, before being degraded or lost. The technique is widely used for studying gene function and protein expression in a short-term context.
