Stably transfected cells
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011273
Cells that have incorporated foreign genetic material (DNA) into their genome, allowing for its continuous expression and replication through subsequent cell divisions. This genetic modification is permanent, distinguishing them from transiently transfected cells where the foreign DNA is not integrated. These cells are widely used in research for protein production and gene function studies.
