Knock-in
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006371
A genetic engineering technique where a specific DNA sequence is inserted into a particular locus in the genome of a cell or organism. This allows for the expression of an exogenous gene or the modification of an endogenous gene. The inserted sequence can be a reporter gene, a human gene, or a gene with specific mutations.
