Direct spectrum
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003262
A spectrum obtained directly from the interaction of an excitation source with a sample, without any intermediate processing or transformation. This contrasts with derived or processed spectra that result from mathematical operations on raw data. An example is an Auger electron spectrum, which directly measures emitted electrons.
