Relaxation spectrum
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010174
A distribution function that describes the range of relaxation times present in a viscoelastic material, such as a polymer. It characterizes the time-dependent response of the material to applied stress or strain. This spectrum is often derived from experimental data obtained from dynamic mechanical analysis.
