Measured excitation spectrum
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007091
A plot of the luminescence intensity emitted by a sample as a function of the excitation wavelength, while the emission wavelength is held constant. This spectrum reveals the wavelengths at which a molecule most efficiently absorbs energy to reach an excited state. It is characteristic of the luminescent species and can be used for qualitative identification.
