NAS

A dedicated file storage device, known as Network-Attached Storage, that connects to a network and provides data access to a group of clients. It operates independently of any single computer and uses file-based protocols such as NFS, SMB, or AFP to serve files. Unlike a general-purpose server, a NAS is a specialized appliance built specifically for storing and sharing data efficiently.
