VRAM

A type of random-access memory, Video RAM, used specifically for storing the image data that a computer displays. It acts as a high-speed buffer between the processor and the display screen, holding the framebuffer which contains the pixel data for the current screen image. Modern graphics cards use specialized high-bandwidth VRAM variants like GDDR (Graphics Double Data Rate) SDRAM.
