DDR3
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000280
A generation of synchronous dynamic random-access memory specified by the JEDEC Solid State Technology Association. Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) SDRAM transfers data at twice the rate of its predecessor, DDR2, due to a deeper 8-bit prefetch buffer. It operates at a lower voltage of 1.5V, reducing power consumption, and supports data transfer rates from 800 to 2133 MT/s.
