Double Data Rate, a type of synchronous dynamic random-access memory that transfers data twice per clock cycle, once on the rising edge and once on the falling edge. This effectively doubles the data transfer rate compared to single data rate SDRAM. DDR memory modules typically operate at voltages around 2.5V.
