A Small Outline Dual In-line Memory Module is a type of computer memory module that is smaller than a standard DIMM. It is designed for use in space-constrained systems such as laptops, small form-factor PCs, and network hardware. SO-DIMMs typically have 144, 200, or 204 pins for DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 memory, respectively, and 260 pins for DDR4.
