SIMM

A type of memory module containing random-access memory (RAM) chips, designed to be installed into a computer's motherboard. It features a single row of electrical contacts on one side of the board. SIMMs were prevalent in personal computers from the late 1980s through the late 1990s, often installed in pairs for 64-bit data buses.
