SIMM
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005290
A type of memory module, a Single In-line Memory Module, containing random-access memory chips mounted on a small printed circuit board. All the pins on its edge connector are redundant on both sides, forming a single set of electrical contacts. Unlike later Dual In-line Memory Modules (DIMMs), which have separate contacts on each side, SIMMs were produced in 30-pin and 72-pin configurations, providing an 8-bit or 32-bit data path respectively.
