A dual in-line memory module is a type of computer memory module containing random-access memory (RAM) chips mounted on a printed circuit board. It has separate electrical contacts on both sides of the module, providing a wider data path compared to older SIMM modules. DIMMs are commonly used as the main memory in desktop computers and servers.
