Frequency

Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000468

The rate at which a recurring event occurs over a specific period, or the number of cycles per unit of time in a periodic signal. In computing, it is applied to the clock speed of a processor, the refresh rate of a monitor, and the oscillations of a radio wave in wireless communication. Frequency is measured in hertz (Hz), where one hertz equals one cycle per second.
