Refresh rate

The frequency with which a display screen updates the image being shown. This rate indicates how many times per second the display hardware redraws the entire screen content to create the illusion of motion and prevent flicker. Refresh rate is measured in hertz (Hz), with common values for computer monitors and televisions being 60 Hz, 120 Hz, and higher.
