Virtualization

The technology of creating a virtual version of a resource, such as an operating system, server, storage device, or network resource. It allows a single physical resource to be divided into multiple virtual resources or multiple physical resources to be aggregated into a single virtual resource. Server virtualization is a common application in data centers.
