Subpixel

An individual colored element within a pixel on a digital display, usually red, green, or blue. Each pixel is composed of multiple subpixels, which are illuminated at varying intensities to create the full spectrum of colors perceived by the human eye. The arrangement and control of these subpixels are governed by display technologies like RGB stripe or PenTile matrices.
