A graphical user interface for configuring an operating system's settings and personalizing the user experience. It provides a centralized location for managing hardware, software, and system-level options such as display resolution, network connections, user accounts, and accessibility features. In macOS, this application is named System Settings (formerly System Preferences), while its counterpart in Microsoft Windows is the Settings app and the Control Panel.
