Target Disk Mode

A special boot mode on certain computers, notably Apple Macintosh models, that enables the machine to function as an external hard drive for another computer. When started in this mode, the computer's internal drive becomes accessible as a mountable volume on the host machine. The connection between the two computers is established using a high-speed data interface like Thunderbolt or FireWire.
