1. A statistical technique used to predict the value of a variable based on the relationship between explanatory variables.
2. A type of supervised machine learning model that is trained on data, including numerical labels (i.e., response variables). Types of regression algorithms include linear regression, polynomial regression, and various non-linear regression methods.
