People who indicate that they were born in the United States, Puerto Rico, a U.S. Island Area, or abroad of at least one U.S. citizen parent are U.S. citizens.
People who indicate that they are U.S. citizens through naturalization are also U.S. citizens.
Naturalized U.S. citizens are foreign-born people who identify themselves as naturalized. Naturalization is the conferring, by any means, of citizenship upon a person after birth.
