  1. People who were born in the United States or in one of its outlying areas, such as Puerto Rico or Guam, or who were born abroad of at least one parent who was a U.S. citizen.

  2. Native born refers to people born in the United States, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Island Areas, as well as those born in a foreign country who have at least one parent who is a U.S. citizen.
