Residence in (designated calender year)

Indicates the place of residence in the reference year for those who reported that they lived in a different housing unit or group quarter at that time. The time duration can either be 5 years (e.g., Census 2000), 1 year (e.g., 2010 Island Area Census), or other duration (CPS-ASEC in the 1970's).
This question is asked on the Census Long Form, Island Area Census, and CPS-ASEC (before 2004).
