Tribal grouping

Refers to the combining of individual American Indian tribes, such as Gila Bend, San Xavier, Sells, and Tohono O'Odham Nation of Arizona into the general Tohono O'Odham tribe, or the combining of Alaska Native Metlakatla Indian Community, Annette Island Reserve and Tsimshian into the general Tsimshian grouping.
