1. Combined effect of two or more chemicals equal to the sum of their individual effects.

2. A biologic response to exposure to multiple substances that equals the sum of responses of all the individual substances added together.

3. A biologic response to exposure to multiple substances that equals the sum of responses of all the individual substances added together [compare with antagonistic effect and synergistic effect].
