Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-002733
Causes the cyclones and anticyclones of mid-latitude weather patterns. Exists when there is an atmospheric horizontal temperature gradient, rotation and stratification. The horizontal temperature gradient supplies the potential energy to be converted to kinetic energy.
