1. A theoretical risk for getting cancer if exposed to a substance every day for 70 years (a lifetime exposure). The true risk might be lower.
2. The probability of contracting cancer over the course of a lifetime, assuming continuous exposure (assumed to be 70 years for the purposes of NATA risk characterization).
